Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Toniz Collins (born in Mexico) is a Mexican American sportscaster. She is the host of SportsNation and is a SportsCenter anchor. She joined ESPN as a news anchor in the year 2016. She is the child of TV journalist Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta Collins has been bilingual since the age of nine years old, a valuable ability that allowed her to secure her first job working as an assistant to the producer for Univision in Miami that allowed her to collaborate with producers of national programs such as Nuestra Belleza Latina, Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud and Primer Impacto. In 2009, the CBS station of St. Petersburg hired her following this to become an sports reporter. In 2009 she moved in Rio Grande Valley to work as a journalist for KNVO TV 48 Univision & Fox2 News. Her stories covered immigration, drug trafficking, and others on the Texas as well as the Mexico border. Also, she was an anchor and Spanish reporter on the newscast of 5 p.m. and anchor and reporter for the newscast from nine p.m. on English as well as also a Spanish reporter at 10 p.m. Also, she was often called upon to be a weather and sports anchor. Deportes 23 in Dallas, Univision's affiliate station in Dallas. There she had more responsibility. She was born November 22, 1985, in Mexico City. There is an older sister. Her family relocated into Miami in 1992 following the departure from Mexico. Fabio Fajardo passed away of kidney carcinoma in the year 2006. When on vacation, Antonietta stayed at the home of her sister in Canton Ohio. Her older Collins brother had recently been offered a new job. Antonietta had just graduated high school but already knew what she was going to do. It was an amazing campus. The university also provided her with the program she was interested in. She finished school and attended the University as a major in media studies. Her relationship lasted for a while with her instructor Mark Bergmann who was the manager at WRMU 91.1 FM, of which she was a part. Mark's passion for journalism and her self-confidence inspired her. She in turn was determined to achieve his expectations and never fail him.
